 In these days is necessary to create manufacturing processes or products more specials in the industrial area. This job makes the men to work to invent different technologies although the integration created with the mechanic and the electronic became what is called "Mechatronics"

This has been used in the automatization industrial control, and robotics.

•Mechatronics represents a new level of integration for the advanced manufacturing technology and processes.

This mechatronics approximation is increased with the speed, to change ideas into products.

 •Mechatronics is the way to describe the practice to make team work made by designs of products , manufacturing personal, buys and sells together to make the products and the manufacturing systems

 •Actually is recognizable the future of innovation of the production coming with them, who optimize the union between the electronic systems and the mechanic systems.

 And this optimization gets more intense in the application of advance manufacturing and production systems, where the artificial intelligence, the experts systems, the intelligent robots and the advance manufacturing systems , creates the new generation to be applied in the future industry.

 MECHATRONICS ORIGIN

The word mechatronics was invented by the japanese Ko Kikuchi in 1970 who worked a long time for Yaskawa Corporation Company as a design engineer.

The origin of the word is due to the problematic to incorporate the design of the products, relationship with the mechanic engineering and the electric engineering.

The Technical Committee of Mechatronics of the International Federation for the Theory of Machines and Mechanism, define the Mechatronics like:

"The synergistic combination of mechanical precision engineering, electronic control and systems, thinking in the design of productsand manufacturing processes".

The Mexican Association of Mechatronics define the Mechatronics as a discipline it combines many activities of knowledge, and they are: the mechanic engineery, the electronic engineery, and the computing systems.

An excellent concept of Mechatronics is the presentation of Dr. Kevin Kraig, of the department of mechanic engineery of Rensseller Palvtechnic Institute.

CHRONOLOGY FROM ROBOT

 1960 "UNIMATE" The first robot was introduced, based in the transference of artic programated from Duval. They use the principles of numeric control, for the manipulator control and was hydraulic transmision robot.

  1. A mobile robot called "SNAKEY" was developed at SRI (Standford Research Institute), by a diversity of sensors just like a vision camera and sensible sensors and could move around the floor

1978 Cincinnati Milacron, T3 robot was adapted and programmed to do drilling operations and the circulation of materials in airplane components under the sponsoring of Air Force ICAM (Integrated Computer Aided Manufacturing)

1981 Direct impulse robot was developed at the Carnegie-Mellon University. It used electric motors located in the manipulator joints, without the usual mechanic transmisions that have most of the robots.

1993 Honda introduced "P1 Robot" it was 6.3 feet and weighed 175 Kg wich was developed to identify the most similar way arms and legs move.

  1. Honda introduced "P2", it was 6 feet tall and weighed 210 Kg, it carried a computer, a motor, batteries and radio system.
  2. Honda introduced "P3", 5 feet 3 inches it weighed 130 Kg. This prototype was created to make a compact and lighter design.

2000 Honda presents "ASIMO" prototype 4 feet tall and weighed 43 Kg. Wich could realize some simple dancing steps, walks and handshakes. Honda says this robot studies the way this robot recognizes voices and identifies faces.

  ROBOTS

SOFTWARE & LANGUAGE

PROGRAM

Group of instructions that indicate to the computer the tasks that must to do.

It’s a helper that carries out calculations, that would take long time to do.

Each program has certain characteristics & rules to follow.

Language

Used to write a sequence of instructions that can be run by a computer. Similar to natural languages.

 •Machine language

•Assembly language

•High-level language

 PASCAL Language

 Pascal is very data-oriented, giving the programmer the ability to define custom data types. With this freedom comes strict type-checking, which ensured that data types didn't get mixed up.

 Robocomm3

 Terminal Software on Microsoft Windows platform to emulate the terminal of the CROS Unix system in the join servo controller.

 CROS

 Used in the joint servo controller to control processes, to manage memory, to manage storage, and to control input/output.

 ActiveRobot

 -Use all the familiar commands to move robots (CRS)

-Query the status or the robot system, including position, Input/Output

-Set up an interface to PC-based automatization on peripherals.

-Use with Visual Basic, VisualC++, Delphi or any other Microsoft COM based language.

What is artificial intelligence?

AI is one of the newest disciplines. It was initially created in 1956 when they created the term, however the study of intelligence is the human knowledge that has been studied by philosophers two millenniums ago.

Artificial intelligence is the science that focuses on the science to accomplish the comprehension of entire communities. It is clear that the computers that posses an equal or superior intelligence than the human level, will have a usual use in our natural life.

Ion reality animals are not intelligent, what they do is only natural instinct. Unlike animals that humans are characterized by their rationing.

Example:

Save the addition of two variables X and Y, in a Z variable, where:

X=1

Y=1

Z=X+Y

Z=2

(thinking systems)

Moving your hand away from a hot handle, this is a reflect, not a careful thought and then acting.

(systems that think by rationing)

Smart lights that are located in Europe, and that by means of sensors they avoid a huge amount of traffic.

(systems that act rationing)

Act like a human. Turing focus test.

The Turing´s test, (Alan Turing 1950) tries to offer an artificial intelligence definition that can be evaluated. So that a being or machine can be considered intelligent it must trick a judge so that this being or machine tries from a human being evaluating all the activities that can be realized by human being.

According to the communication and the number of errors given, is close to the number of errors met by the human being, is considered, according to Turing, this machine is intelligent.

As of today, the work that takes to program a computer so it could pass the test. The computer must do the following :

  • Process a natural language. So they could establish a satisfactory communication, it might be in Spanish, English or any other human language.
  • Represent knowledge, to save all the information that has been given before the questioning, the use of data bases to receive questions and the load them.
  • Automatically rationing, used the saved information and answer questions obtain new conclusions and take other decisions.
  • Self-learning from the computer, with the purpose to adapt to new circumstances, this takes to the self evaluation.

To pass the total test from Turing, is necessary that the computer obtains the following,

  • Vision: the capacity to watch the object placed in front of it.
  • Robotics: the capacity to move the object that has been watched.

Artificial intelligence bases

For more than 2000 years in the philosophy tradition, has been created new theories about the rationing and the simultaneously learning with the means that the mind will reduce the functioning of its physical system. For over 400 years of mathematics, new theories have borne, like: common sense, probability, the theory for decisions and computer systems.

Psychology offers several tools that leads to the investigation of the human mind, those like the scientific language that let us express new theories. Linguistics offers theories about the structure and the meanings of the language. Science from computer systems from which we take tools lets the artificial intelligence be a reality.

The first sight origin from the concept, and the criticism from the development of AI, is headed to the intuition of the English mathematic genius, Alan Turing and its topic Artificial Intelligence, is due to McCarthy, a member of Dartmouth Group. That in the summer of 1956 joined Dartmouth College in United States to discuss the possibility to build smart machines.

Concentrating on the products from the process to have smart qualities, without worrying due to the fact that the functioning or the structure from the components will be similar to those of the human being. Although both sights belong to the primarily objectives, AI.

And understand the natural human intelligence and the use of smart machines to acquire knowledge and solve considerably hard problems.

AI history has been witness of wonderful cycles, unjustified optimism, and the banishing consequence of enthusiasm and economical help. It has also received characterized cycles by the introduction of new and creative focuses and the systematic perfectionism of the best.
