This story begins some where at  the west side of  Sierra Madre in Mexico.   An old pick-up stopped on a dirty road side, the driver was very tired, he was resting over the steering wheel of the truck, watching his companion who was sleeping.  He awaked  him up, the passenger hardly listened, get dawn we have arrived, the driver shouted him.   The passenger half slept asked:  where we are?   He watched the driver getting dawn, walking a little to extend legs and arms and shouting again, get dawn Doctor.   Where we are?  The doctor asked again.

I received instructions to bring you to "El Palmar", and here we are at "El Palmar.

The doctor was looking a very small group of houses, and the driver was getting down an old bag and a box, -it was the doctors luggage- and said: remember, the city is eight hours driving trough the mountain range.  Good by, I wish you good luck.

The doctor watched the pick up going away in a cloud of dust and got lost on his way back.

The doctor picked up his bag and the box, and firmly walked to the small town, hopping to be well came, with his project to bring his medicine to this faraway place, with the only purpose to serve.

The town neighbors noted the arrival of a stranger, some of them passed trough whistling, the doctor watched around wandering what that people wanted, he asked them:  Who is the boss in "El Palmar"?   I am the boss answered one of them… Are you the Doctor?   The doctor asked.  How do you know who I am.   First of all, tell me your name, mine is Dorotheo, but every body calls me Theo:   Doc, come with me with all your things.   As they were walking way to dawn town, the doctor said, tell me Theo, how do you know my name?   Come here doc and lets us take a rest under the fresh shadow of this tree.   Some people passing over there were whistling them, Theo also whistled.   The doctor was amazed.   Tell me Theo where is the Hospital and where I am going to stay?   Let me see  Doc, thirty years ago or more since I remember, we never had have a hospital, and you are going to stay at the town house.  The doctor was observing a beautiful girl coming to offer them a jug of fruits juice.   She is my daughter Theo said, her name is Dahlia.   A note book and a pencil were hanging from the neck of the girl, and that called the doctors attention.

Yes Theo commented, many years ago a measles epidemic struck the town people, my daughter was a baby she almost die, and that"s why she can not hear neither speak, and she uses that note book to communicate with others. Dahlia showed the doctor her note book saying: Doc I want to tell you some thing: People in this region uses the whistles as a way of communication.   She turn over to go out, showing the doctor the wild beauty of her body.   Very sexy she turned her head back glancing to the doctor.  Don Theo standing up to leave said:   May I ask you a favor Doc?   Ask me what ever you want Don Theo, but please don"t call me Doc.  All the people in town know you like that.  O Key but you call me by my name please.
Well Roberto I will see you tomorrow.   If you need to take a bath, you have to go to the river, if you does that, you will rest better.   And do not go to the White Stones place, that place is the one where the women here use to take a bath, when they want to become pregnant.   You can get in the river naked, no body cares about that, well I"m leaving Don Theo said.  Good Bye Don Theo.

Coming back from the river Roberto stopped just in front of the town house, mumbling, I hope every thing will be for well. The doctor was very surprised to see the house, it was a two rooms, no doors house, but it was very clean; one of the rooms was arranged with a small table, two chairs and one oil lamp over the concrete floor.   He took his shirt out because the weather was hot, he lied down on the bed and fell slept.

Very early next morning he felt some body was around and asked:   Is some body there?  What can I do for you?   He saw only a shadow.   Later, when he got up, he found two baskets with fruit, wandered who brought that fruit? Roberto was going out, and turned back to see who was calling to him, good morning Roberto.   Don Theo, I am glad to see you, I want to ask you where can I have my meals?   As the boss of these place is my duty to feed you as long as you stay here.   Where do you live Don Theo?   Just at your side.   In that moment, Dahlia was coming out her home carrying a basket.   Go ahead Roberto, that is your breakfast, I"ll go home  and as soon as you finish your breakfast, come with me, I want to tell you some things.   Now, every body in El Palmar know we have a doctor in town.  Thank you Don Theo said the doctor.

Roberto was to finish his breakfast,   Dahlia was there sat just on the other chair,  they was watching each other.   When Roberto finished, Dahlia went out with her basket.  Roberto was watching she was leaving.   He perceived how beautiful she was, and when she lost out the house, he went looking for Don Theo.

Don Theo was waiting for Roberto down a tree shadow, what can I do for you Don Theo?  Roberto asked.   Do you like breakfast Roberto?   It was very good he answered.   At that moment, some men were passing over there whistling, and Don Theo answered them whistling as well.  Let"s have a walk - Theo invited Roberto -     I want to talk with you.
