Casarse significa unirse a otro miembro de la sociedad para formar una comunidad de la que lo más normal es que surjan más miembros. Es evidente que este tipo de unión es siempre de carácter social. Quienes abogan por una unión “privada” quizás pretendan una unión “secreta” o “no formal”. ¿No es esto una forma de querer “dejar la puerta abierta” para dar marcha atrás sin complicaciones si se cambia de opinión?
Porque sólo un vínculo con estas características puede ser el fundamento firme sobre el que construir la familia. Los esposos necesitan tener la seguridad de que contarán el uno con el otro a la hora de pensar en tener hijos.
