This work is about the benefits promoted by physical therapy after thorax surgery and/or after high abdominal surgery, it objectives to raise the effects of these therapeutics actions to prevent pulmonary complications. This research was made with qualitative character, descriptive and quantitative. The sampling was based on a field experiment. The first stage of the research consisted in acquisition of theoretical reference for the best approaching and developing of the subject. The data’s collect, second stage of the research, happened after the approbation of this work for the ethic and research committee, at a public hospital in Fortaleza. The collection was made through the clinical evolution of patients, which was in his hospital files. The third and last stage was the standard analysis and interpretation of the collected data for it presentation. For the statistic analysis, it was used nine samples, in which was observed predispositions factors for pulmonary complications together with medical intercurrences. The average variation of samples did not show meaning statistics differences, which is explained by the not usual behavior of the disease, besides the small
