1. Introduction
Pigments: These are substances that absorb the light needed to produce the reaction. Among them, the main chlorophyll or green pigment that gives color to plants. Chlorophyll is found mixed with other pigments, but to appear in greater proportion, color usually imposes on the rest that is masked.
Photosynthesis is one of the metabolic processes that use cells for energy. It is a complex process by which living beings possess chlorophyll and other pigments capture light energy, they transform water and reduced CO2 into organic compounds releasing oxygen.
