Born and raised in the peripheral areas of Brasilia, Gog dedicated himself to black music, especially Rap. This musical gender emerges as an instrument of denunciation of the living conditions of urban communities inhabitants that are impoverished and discriminated against by the wealthiest strata of society and existing powers. Gog‟s compositions intend to draw attention to this reality and come loaded with demonstrations against the hegemonic ideology, inherent in the social context in which they are produced. This work aims to analyze the song Brasil com
P, considering the aesthetics of its musical style, which reflects the contradictions inserted in social relations based in the domination of one class over another in today's society. We use Lakoff and Johnson (2002) to identify the metaphors used by the author in the song's lyrics in order to portray the reality experienced by these communities. This work also focuses ideological traits that emerge from the social context and contain the germ of the transformation in dominant social relations.
Fairclough (2001) and Thompson (2009) offer our theoretical basis for examining the question of ideology inserted in discursive practices, particularly in the production
